Tallow skincare is made from nutrient-rich, grass-fed beef tallow that closely mirrors the natural oils in human skin. Because it’s bio-compatible, it absorbs easily, delivers deep moisture, and supports a healthy skin barrier without fillers, preservatives, or synthetic ingredients.

Yes—our products are formulated with sensitive skin in mind. Tallow is naturally gentle, non-irritating, and rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K. Most customers with eczema, dryness, or easily-reactive skin find it soothing and calming.

Our moisturizers are completely preservative-free. Because they contain no water and only stable, natural ingredients, they have a long shelf life without needing synthetic preservatives.
Our Charcoal Cleanser is the one exception. Because it's designed to be used with water in the shower, it includes a small amount of Geogard Ultra—a gentle, natural-derived preservative—to keep the product safe and effective. We chose it because it's one of the cleanest options available, and we still keep the formula as close to all-natural as possible.

The short answer: not usually, and definitely not when used correctly and in high-quality formulations.
Beef tallow is uniquely compatible with human skin because it contains fatty acids like oleic and palmitic acid—the same building blocks found in our skin’s natural sebum. This makes it incredibly nourishing and ideal for dry, sensitive, or compromised skin.
That said, everyone's skin is different. For those with very oily or acne-prone skin, it's important to:
Apply tallow products sparingly (a little goes a long way!)
Use only on freshly cleansed skin
Look for blends with lighter oils like Jojoba, Rosehip, or Sea-buckthorn oil (which we use in our formulas)
Our tallow is always grass-fed, slow-rendered, and triple-filtered to be as clean and bioavailable as possible—free from additives, or synthetic ingredients that are more likely to cause congestion.

No. Topical melatonin stays within the skin layers and does not enter the bloodstream the way oral melatonin does. It functions as a skin-conditioning antioxidant ingredient when applied topically — not a sleep aid. To learn more about topical melatonin:

Choosing and Using Products

Vanilla and Mellow are nearly identical in formulation. Both are built around Rosehip oil, which is packed with essential fatty acids and antioxidants to hydrate and nourish the skin. The only difference? The finishing essential oil. Vanilla is lightly scented with warm vanilla, while Mellow is infused with calming lavender.
It really comes down to preference. Some love Vanilla's comforting scent for daytime use, while others prefer Mellow's relaxing aroma for winding down at night.
Vitamin Sea Cream is a little different.
Instead of Rosehip oil, it features Sea Buckthorn oil—a nutrient-rich plant oil known for its vibrant golden color (which blends beautifully into all skin tones). Sea Buckthorn is loaded with vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and C, and supports skin repair, tone, and elasticity.
We blend it with bright, citrusy essential oils: bergamot, lime, and orange, plus grounding frankincense for added antioxidant power and mood-boosting aromatherapy. It's a go-to for morning rituals when you want to wake up your skin—and your senses.
Our Charcoal Cleanser is built for a different job entirely. Where our creams are leave-on moisturizers, the Charcoal Cleanser is a wash-off cleanser that melts away makeup and daily grime without stripping your skin. Activated charcoal helps lift away excess oil while a nourishing tallow base keeps skin from feeling tight or dry after rinsing—finished with frankincense and rosemary.

Most customers find that one jar of our moisturizers lasts 3–6 months, depending on how often they use it and how much of the body they apply it to.
When used daily on the face, a jar typically lasts closer to 4-6 months depending on frequency of use.
When used as a full-body moisturizer or in place of massage lotion, you'll go through it more quickly—closer to 3 months.
The Charcoal Cleanser is used once or twice daily, so a jar typically lasts around 2-3 months with regular use.
Remember, with Tallow, a little goes a long way.

Tallow naturally responds to room temperature, so the texture can shift—similar to butter. In warmer rooms it may feel softer, and in cooler spaces it may firm up. This is completely normal and doesn’t affect its quality. For best results, store your moisturizer in a cool, dark place and warm a small amount between your fingers before applying.

Yes. Our ingredients are gentle and naturally derived. Most customers feel comfortable using them during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but we always recommend checking with your healthcare provider if you have specific concerns or sensitivities.

We want you to love your order. Because our products are handmade in small batches, all sales are final. We don’t accept returns or exchanges for scent/texture preference or change of mind.
If your item arrives damaged:
Email us within 7 days with your order number and a photo of the damage. We’ll send a replacement or offer a refund for the product. (Shipping costs are non-refundable.)No need to send the damaged jar back.

Tallow, like any fat, melts more as the temperature gets hotter. To prevent our products from sitting in hot warehouses over weekends. We only ship Mon–Wed in summer to protect the whipped texture. Let us know if the jar you received didn’t retain texture and we’ll make it right!
