New to Oil Cleansing?
Scoop a dime-sized amount of Charcoal Cleanser into dry hands.
Massage onto dry skin in gentle circles for 60–90 seconds — this is the step that does the work, so don't rush it.
Add a little warm water to emulsify (it'll turn milky) and keep massaging a few seconds more.
Rinse with warm water, or wipe away with a warm, damp washcloth.
Pat dry. That's it.
It's not a 10-step routine — it's a 60–90 second reset your skin will thank you for. If you've never tried oil cleansing, welcome — here's the shortcut version.

No. The oil binds to the oil already on your skin and rinses away with it. When you add warm water and it turns milky, that's the emulsifier doing its job, lifting everything off instead of leaving it behind. You should feel clean and comfortable afterward, not slick.

Yes, and often better than foam. Oil dissolves oil, along with the makeup, sunscreen, and dirt riding on it. Foaming cleansers strip that away with surfactants, which takes your skin's own barrier oils with it. That tight, squeaky feeling people associate with "clean" is actually your barrier asking for help.

It shouldn't, and for most people it does the opposite over time. That said, if you're used to stripping your skin, the first week or two can look like an adjustment period while your oil production recalibrates. If you're acne-prone or reactive, start with three nights a week and work up.

Yes, including the mineral sunscreen and waterproof mascara that most cleansers give up on. Massage a few extra seconds around the eyes, keep your eyes closed while you emulsify, and rinse well.

That's largely who it's for. Short ingredient list, no synthetic fragrance, no sulfates. If you're new to any of the ingredients, patch test on your jaw for a couple of days first.
-
Once a day, at night, is the sweet spot for most people. Mornings usually just need water or a splash. If your skin runs dry, night-only is plenty.

Yes. Cleansing is the reset, moisturizing is the part that keeps it. Follow with Mellow Moisturizer

Either works. A warm, damp cloth gives you a little gentle exfoliation and takes off every last trace. Rinsing is fine on nights you're tired. Use a clean cloth each time.
